In 2008, one of the biggest economic downshifts occurred and the United States of America hit an economic crisis. The crisis has still fated those who purchase prescription drugs currently except year 2009. Last year, the prescription drug spending only increased by 0.5 % after adjusting to inflation and population growth in the USA. Without the adjustments, spending increased to 3.7%. As stated the percentage obviously speaks for itself in that economic spending is at a standstill. Healthcare is one of the most important factors in this country and thus will lead to recycle the economy. In a census report, patients are rationing their visits to the doctor which ultimately cuts back on prescriptions. In this economy, means for utilitarian thought is absent because everyone is self-centered. Given there are those who are dedicated to healthcare and have a steady plan for medicine/visitation, but it is enough for 2012 and ongoing.
People in the ages
of 19 to 25 increased spending on prescription drugs the most out of all ages.
People age 65 and older cut back on their prescriptions last year by 3.1 %. The
late teens were able to help the most because they are able to stay on their
parent’s insurance plan under a provision known as the Affordable Care Act
which made a 2% increase. Obama Care needs to be repealed because although
there is increase there are also decreases exemplified by tax costs on
healthcare. The repeal of Obama Care is currently in Senate and is in its
second stage. Last year 34 prescriptions drugs were introduced which saved 20
million Americans, healthcare awareness needs to build to save more lives and spending is critical to
recycle the economy.
